AI Assistant Notice
Last updated:
Our support chat uses a large language model to answer questions about teak, our products and international trade. Please read this notice before relying on its answers.
1. Purpose
The assistant helps you find information faster, summarise our knowledge base, and decide when to contact a human.
2. How it works
Your message is sent to our server, augmented with relevant knowledge-base articles and — for trade and regulatory questions — recent web sources. A model generates a response, which is shown back to you with citations where used.
3. Limitations
AI models can be wrong, out of date, or misinterpret a question. Cited sources show the date of the information so you can check currency. Do not rely on AI output for binding rulings, customs classifications or safety-critical decisions.
4. Data handling
Messages and responses are stored against an anonymous conversation ID so staff can review weak answers and improve the knowledge base. We do not use your messages to train external models.
5. Human handoff
You can ask for a human at any time using the "Talk to a person" action. The transcript is then handed to our team via the contact form.
