Timber Legality Statement

Last updated:

Kayuda N.V. is committed to placing only legally harvested timber on the UK and EU markets, in line with the UK Timber Regulation (UKTR), the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) and FLEGT/CITES where applicable.

1. Plantation origin

Our teak is grown on managed plantations in Colombia. We do not source from old-growth, primary or protected forest.

2. Due diligence

Each shipment is supported by a due-diligence pack: plantation identity and geolocation, harvest year, species, volume, transport route and supplier compliance documents.

3. Chain of custody

We maintain chain-of-custody records from plantation to delivered goods and align with FSC chain-of-custody principles where certificates are in place.

4. Risk assessment

We assess and document risk against country of harvest, species, and supplier. Where risk is identified, mitigation measures are applied before placing goods on the market.

5. Concerns and reports

To report a concern about legality or sustainability of our supply, email elmer@teak.center. Reports are treated confidentially.
