Modern Slavery Statement
Last updated:
This statement is made in the spirit of section 54 of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015. Kayuda N.V. has zero tolerance for modern slavery and human trafficking.
1. Our business
We supply plantation teak from Colombia to UK and EU customers, from raw logs to finished goods.
2. Our supply chain
Our main supply-chain partners are plantations, sawmills, hauliers, container shipping lines and customs agents. We work with a small number of long-term partners to maintain oversight.
3. Due diligence
We require suppliers to confirm compliance with applicable labour and human-rights laws. Higher-risk relationships are subject to additional verification.
4. Training and awareness
Staff and contractors involved in procurement are briefed on the risks and indicators of modern slavery and on how to raise concerns.
5. Reporting concerns
Anyone — employee, supplier or member of the public — can report a concern in confidence to elmer@teak.center.
